astro-python software package provides Python 2 packages for astronomy, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install astro-python
astro-python is installed in your system.
Make ensure the astro-python package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep astro-python *
You will get with astro-python package name, version, architecture and description in a table
